Ñ 1978 ïî 1987 ãîäû ó÷àñòâîâàë â íàó÷íîì ðóêîâîäñòâå øêîëüíûì áèîëîãè÷åñêèì êðóæêîì ÂÎÎÏ ïðè Ãîñóäàðñòâåííîì Äàðâèíîâñêîì ìóçåå (ðóêîâîäèòåëü êðóæêà – Ïðåîáðàæåíñêàÿ Å.Ñ.). Îñíîâíàÿ ôîðìà ðàáîòû – îðãàíèçàöèÿ íàó÷íî-èññëåäîâàòåëüñêîé ðàáîòû êðóæêîâöåâ (10-20 øêîëüíèêîâ 7-11 êëàññîâ åæåãîäíî). Îñíîâíûå òåìû – îðíèòîëîãèÿ è ñòðóêòóðà ñîîáùåñòâ æèâîòíûõ.

 1990-1995 ãîäàõ âåë ó÷åáíûå çàíÿòèÿ è ðóêîâîäèë ðåàëèçàöèåé ó÷åáíûõ ïðîãðàìì äåñÿòêà âñåðîññèéñêèõ ó÷åáíî-ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ øêîë-ëàãåðåé è äâóõ Âñåðîññèéñêèõ Ñëåòîâ þíûõ ýêîëîãîâ â ÂÄÖ «Îðëåíîê». Òåìàòèêè çàíÿòèé – îðíèòîëîãèÿ, çîîëîãèÿ ïîçâîíî÷íûõ, ýêîëîãè÷åñêèé ìîíèòîðèíã.

 1993-1999 ãîäàõ âåë ó÷åáíûå çàíÿòèÿ íà ïîëåâûõ ïðàêòèêóìàõ ìîñêîâñêèõ øêîëüíèêîâ è íà âñåðîññèéñêèõ ó÷åáíî-ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ øêîëàõ (äëÿ øêîëüíèêîâ) è âñåðîññèéñêèõ ó÷åáíî-ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ ñåìèíàðàõ-ïðàêòèêóìàõ (äëÿ ïåäàãîãîâ) ýêîëîãè÷åñêîãî öåíòðà "Ýêîñèñòåìà". Ñïåöèàëèçàöèÿ – çîîëîãèÿ ïîçâîíî÷íûõ, ýêîëîãè÷åñêèé ìîíèòîðèíã.

Ñ 1985 ã ïî íàñòîÿùåå âðåìÿ – ðàçðàáîòêà ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ ìàòåðèàëîâ äëÿ ó÷èòåëåé è øêîëüíèêîâ, çàíèìàþùèõ èçó÷åíèåì æèâîé ïðèðîäû è ýêîëîãè÷åñêèìè èññëåäîâàíèÿìè (â êà÷åñòâå îðãàíèçàòîðà èçäàíèé è àâòîðà). Îñíîâíàÿ ôîðìà ðàáîòû – àäàïòàöèÿ ñóùåñòâóþùèõ â «áîëüøîé» íàóêå ìåòîäèê è ïîäõîäîâ ê öåëÿì è íóæäàì ýêîëîãè÷åñêîãî îáðàçîâàíèÿ, íàïèñàíèå ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ ïîñîáèé è ðóêîâîäñòâ, èõ ïóáëèêàöèÿ è ðàñïðîñòðàíåíèå.

Ñ ýòèìè öåëÿìè â 1996-2004 ãîäàõ áûëè íàïèñàíû è îïóáëèêîâàíû 65 ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ ïîñîáèé (áðîøþð), âêëþ÷àþùèå â ñåáÿ îïèñàíèÿ ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ ïîäõîäîâ è ìåòîäèê èññëåäîâàòåëüñêîé ðàáîòû øêîëüíèêîâ â ïðèðîäå, â 1999-2000 ãã. ñíÿòû 40 ó÷åáíî-ìåòîäè÷åñêèõ ôèëüìîâ è íàïèñàíû ðóêîâîäñòâà ê íèì, íà÷èíàÿ ñ 2000 ãîäà èçäàíû 13 êîìïüþòåðíûõ èíòåðàêòèâíûõ îïðåäåëèòåëåé îáúåêòîâ ïðèðîäû Ðîññèè, â 2003-2007 ãã. èçäàíû 8 ïå÷àòíûõ îïðåäåëèòåëåé ðàñòåíèé ñðåäíåé ïîëîñû Ðîññèè, â 2006 ãîäó çàêîí÷åíà ðàáîòà íàä îáîáùàþùèì ìåòîäè÷åñêèì ïîñîáèåì äëÿ ó÷èòåëÿ "Êàê îðãàíèçîâàòü ïîëåâîé ýêîëîãè÷åñêèé ïðàêòèêóì", ñ 2012 ãîäà èçäàþòñÿ ìîáèëüíûå ïîëåâûå îïðåäåëèòåëè ðàñòåíèé è æèâîòíûõ Ðîññèè äëÿ ñìàðòôîíîâ è ïëàíøåòîâ íà îïåðàöèîííûõ ñèñòåìàõ Android è iOS:

Åæåãîäíî ñ 1999 ãîäà âåäóòñÿ 3 ñåìåñòðîâûõ äèñòàíöèîííûõ êóðñà – îñåííèé è âåñåííèé äëÿ ñòóäåíòîâ óíèâåðñèòåòà (graduate course), ëåòíèé – äëÿ ó÷èòåëåé, ðàáîòàþùèõ â øêîëå (postgraduate course). Íà àíãëèéñêîì ÿçûêå.  2002 ãîäó çà ñîçäàíèå è âåäåíèå êóðñà óäîñòîåí çâàíèÿ ïðîôåññîðà.
