Light coniferous forest with predominance of Calabrian pine (Pinus brutia) on the slopes of the middle-altitude Thrypti, or Sitia mountains at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level. The Eastern part of the island of Crete, the Dodecanese Islands of the Southern Sporades archipelago, Southern Greece.
