The slopes of a Dikti, or Dicte mountain chain, covered with phrygana (garrigue) - the plant community with predominance of low-growing shrubs, subshrubs and dwarf shrubs, at an altitude of 1600-1800 meters above the sea level. The Eastern part of the island of Crete, the Dodecanese Islands of the Southern Sporades archipelago, Southern Greece.
