Abrasive sandstone shore with erosion holes, which appeared, apparently, as a result of ingress of hard pebbles and boulders into soft rock and erosion of sandstone around them by sea surf, followed by surface aeolian weathering. The Northern coast of the island of Crete (Cretan Sea), near the village of Malia, Potamos beach, Dodecanese Islands of the Southern Sporades archipelago, Southern Greece.
